IF God is Infinite
If God is infinite, then there could be no place where God is not. Just because we are asleep to this does not mean it isn’t true. Look at yourself from God’s perspective. He is the water, you are the vase. He is ocean, you the wave.
Most every human believes in his separateness and the terror of it drives him to seek relief. Stories like being banished from the Garden ring true because we all feel afraid and alone, separated and isolated. Thankfully, all suffering leads to God.
My point is, true belief in a false assumption has real consequences. Believing a rope is a snake creates fear when none was needed. The leaf is not, and could not be separate from the tree, no matter how real it seems.
I believe the child is the chrysalis, and the adult, the butterfly.
The child necessarily relies on parental authority, the adult relies on the truth of Existence Itself as the glorious expression of God’s infinite being.
This means that there is no actual “other”. The God appearing as Joe, who loves Nancy is the same God appearing as Nancy, who loves Joe. If only God exists then evil must also be made of God and have a purpose and indeed it does: It is there to remind us what happens when we forget God.
Jesus didn’t forget God, even when the soldiers drove spikes into his body.
Love sees nothing other than itself.
Christ demonstrates the truth of Love as the fundamental structure of Reality.
Think of God like living water that takes the shape of whatever container it flows into. It looks like a glass of water but it’s much more than a glass that breaks. Always existing prior unity with God is the Original Gospel that never saw the light of day until Jesus said, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” “Hideth”?? Dig it up!!
