The Apocalypse of Charlie Kirk and Why it Matters to Us All

Author’s note: The opinions I express in this article do not constitute proof of my claims. My conclusions are based on my observation of patterns that repeat. We need truth, not just beliefs about it. That takes the willingness to be corrected when new information comes in.

What Charlie went through during the last two months of his life matters because it is what confronts us all: the terrible revelation of a hidden horror.

Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA were funded by wealthy donors to promote the organization’s agenda. This went well for several years until Charlie began to question the narrative due to questions that were being asked of him and the new information he was learning. Some of his donors did not appreciate this. Charlie was murdered in broad daylight, leaving the world to see what happens when truth dares to speak to power. He could have been just mugged and thrown in a river when no one was looking like with Jimmy Hoffa. But no, his was a public execution, just like JFK’s. A message to future troublemakers.

Charlie was caught between a rock of his donors and a hard place of his base who were asking very uncomfortable questions about Israel, 911, Gaza and Oct 7th. At stake were the narrative of God’s plan of salvation and Greater Israel’s central role in it. The loyalty of untold millions of Christian Zionists and conservative young voters in Turning Point USA was also at stake.

Like Charlie, we are also caught between our donors, (e.g. our personal identity), and our base, (e.g. our conscience, moral compass and innate sense of fairness). If we subject our personal identity and narrative to the scrutiny of our conscience, then a tension between them builds quickly and must be disarmed if we do not want our narrative to be destroyed .

Charlie Kirk questioned the official Israel narrative and wanted to maintain his independence and ability to host even anti-Israel critics on his show, which proved to be a fatal decision.

Jesus Christ, President John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy Sr. also asked very disturbing questions. All four men were assassinated. The chances of this being a random coincidence are in the billions to one.

“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” (Luke 12: 2-3) KJV)

The Power of the Individual

Humanity at large reflects the individual’s level of awareness; once enough individuals change only then can the human collective change. When conscience speaks truth to the tyranny of our personal narrative, revelation and revolution break out.

I was in Seminary when my personal apocalypse broke out. I was trying to figure out how Jesus Christ and his Father could be so different from YHWH when I was told they were one and the same. Jesus said, “even you who are corrupt would never give a stone to his son for bread, why do you think your Father would be any different?” YHWH said things like, “kill the women, children and animals and force the rest into slavery.” How could YHWH and the Father of Jesus Christ be the same? This unsolvable problem sent a fracture through my narrative and ended in the total collapse of who I thought I was.

I thought I was a human being born in Original Sin, saved by Jesus Christ who sacrificed himself on the cross in order to save us from eternal damnation. God was a just God with rules that must be obeyed; if you don’t you go to Hell. Simple.

I could see that, yes indeed, there are consequences to my actions, that obedience makes a lot of sense since I’m a child and don’t know much about anything, and God is my Parent who knows everything, so what’s the big deal? Just obey the Word of God and believe what the Scriptures say and shut up.

The problem was I couldn’t shut up. This deafening question about God the Father and YHWH was keeping me up at night.

I came to the conclusion that the Father of Jesus Christ is not YHWH because stones are not bread, and the Promised Land flowing with Milk and Honey is actual biological anatomy, not theological speculation. The biological body is the very structure within which God appears. Our pineal and the pituitary glands conduct the electro-magnetic currents of Life that pump cerebro-spinal fluid up and down our spines, and move the blood through our veins.

The Caduceus symbolizes this divine circuit: the biological Occasion where Infinite Love appears, disappears and reappears. This apocalypse of understanding transformed the trajectory of my life.

A Profound Opportunity

My point is this: peace on earth and the return of the golden age will come as the result of each of our many personal apocalypses. When the breakdown of our previously unrecognized narrative happens, it creates a breakthrough to conscience, just waiting to be activated. When our conscience then speaks truth to our narrative’s egoic stronghold, the Light of Love replaces underlying fear and illuminates our biology with inspiration and trust.

Turning Point USA has promised to carry Charlie’s legacy forward. But I wonder if Charlie’s straying from the narrative will be ridiculed and labeled by former staff, donors and supporters as hearsay or sarcasm, or, if the apocalypse of his revelation will continue and serve as inspiration to others?

Charlie’s conscience broke through his life-long narrative. His brave refusal to make himself an exception to the universality of moral principle cost him his life. That’s what happens when the sacred meets the profane: the power and control of domination reasserts itself, telling us to move along, nothing to see here.

If Charlie’s sacred honor and courage get lost forever; if we each fail to face our own apocalypse and succumb to the brute force of our false narratives, we miss a profound opportunity: the opportunity to, one-by-one, shift the human collective to one based on conscience and human dignity.

Now, it’s up to us.

Fear and control or love and trust? Fear and control has brought us poverty, war, disease, violence and misery. Charlie saw beyond that.

We can too. And, we must.

We are the adults in the room. We don’t need authorities and experts to tell us what is real.

We need us.
